How to set the scale for sheets in Autocad?

Depending on whether you are using viewports or model space. At my office we use the border and paper size to scale. If you are using 1 to 1 ratio make a border that fits the paper size then make a viewport and adjust the scale of the viewport with the properties command. For the text, dimensions and blocks go to format--%26gt;Drawing setup and you can set the scales in there. I hope this isn't too confusing. Good luck. How to set the scale for sheets in Autocad?
You should be using paper space layouts. When you create your viewport, you can go into model space and click your viewport scale pull down menu and select a drawing scale. Your paper space layout should have your border and title block at 1=1 scale. Then when you plot your drawing, you always plot at 1=1. The scale you selected for your viewport will control your actual scale.
